Enchanted Bounds.
#WritcoPoemPrompt121

Our greetings began in a small town,
At a vintage banquet where we met.
Roses tangled with twinkles,
But there weren’t any lilies to shine.

We bounded around the enchanted greens,
With all of ours present to see,
But didn’t see the silent snakes that crawled.
It was all an illusion erased.
Love washed over us,
Too quickly, swallowing us both away.

While you were away, your notes’ embrace
Are the only things I have.
The words are like melodies that float,
But the letters sometimes misbehave.
I thought it was a hallucination.

When it was not,
Yet every step taken away,
I wish to hold you from afar with a smile.
And when you crawl away from fears
And whisper enchantments on my lips,
I know your existence will fade.

The bond was too strong,
And the glass shattered as tears dripped down.
But the glass never strengthened its breaks.
We remained intact, gluing the pieces together.

In the realm of depression and joy,
It was all about being a bond that never parted.
So the palms never left each other.
