Dragon Warriors
Two thousand men stand on the field,
Daggers and spears and swords they wield.
Ready to fight, to slay the dragon.
Trekking through forests to find its cave,
To turn its home into its grave,
Then return home to a great many flagon.
Once the warriors do slay the beast,
They’ll return home to a magnificent feast,
And to ladies and maidens all in waiting.
Dead now, the dragon, they have its head!
And the price of victory: a great many dead.
But now they return to the celebration waiting.
