I must confess right from the start
I am a Motorhead
a hot rod girl in my heart

a old hot rod is beautiful and bold
the cars today are not the same
They simply have no soul

A 69 Camaro or a 70 Chevelle
these cars have something to say
a story to tell

or a 56 Ford truck
big fat tires shiny red paint
big block motor more bang for your buck

now I know not everyone will agree
They don't get it
They don't see what I see

but then there are those that do
because they have a hot rod heart
and they know what I say is true

their heads pop up at the sound
They stop and wait to get a look
at the old beauty out cruisin' around

hot rods are tried and true
American
as the Red white and blue.
