What is pride and who is proud?
Certainly, not the definitions that come to mind. NO!
The dictionaries don't do pride justice,
Neither do the good books that disparage its use.
To the world, a proud person is bad
and people who take pride in their achievements are fated for the ground.
But that could not be true.
This cliche of a misconception has gone on too long and its effects, too harsh to neglect.
Because if the truth be the liberator that sets one free, Then, pride is the shield that keeps you free.
So stay proud,
Applaud yourself for your laudable acts;
Sing victory songs like the star of a band;
And if anyone dare ask you;
Why are you proud?
Say to them: Self appraisal is my fundamental right -
THE BOOk of shalex chapter 1 verse 20 tells me so.,
