The door to tomorrow, Opens in the shadows of today,
So brush aside the path of sorrow,
And make your way.
Giving attention to yesterdays,
You may stumble on your path,
Focus on what’s brought by today,
Search not for tomorrow’s wrath.
There’s enough anger in this world,
Hatred built up in so many hearts,
Yelling words of hurt so neatly furled,
Some presented as works of art.
So much energy is expelled,
For one moment let’s take off the gloves,
Then maybe we’ll excel,
Because it is easier just to love.
