In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone,
I guess I thought we'd make amends,
But , we never, and I am still singing that same old lonely song.
Daily, I think about where it might have gone wrong,
I sit here in my lonely silence and think ,exactly when it started,
I wonder if you ever knew my heart's pain,
And how many times yours left, gone away, departed.
Did you still even love me,
I guessed I won't truly know,
But I am for sure of my love for you,
And how your silence left me in the cold.
Tortured soul, breaking heart,
I'm still drowning in my sorrow,
Of the unknown I never figured out,
And knowing I won't ever get to see our love again because there won't be a tomorrow.
