The lights go out
I feel alone
no place really
that feels like home

Praying day and night
for this emptiness to pass
a cold chill washes over me
I tell myself don't look back

if every heart ache was a lesson
every loss was there to teach me
then the course that I was taken
must have been world history

cuz my world was so much choas
my memory holding all the pain stuff
trying not to look at it but trynna understand
right now is tough

just when I thought I could be happy
and that a better life awaits me
im greeted by the past
I guess it's come to taunt me

striving hard to be on top of it
see and know when troubles coming
seems as though something is blocking me
it could not be more annoying

Determination to get through this obstacle
even with doubt in my mind residing
push the negative out and full speed ahead
with the motivation in me ill make right to the end.
