so many of you keep asking yourself this?....
but first let's talk about how to love...
I know... many of you think that to love means loving oneself...
but I tell you..

you haven't started the journey of real love if you think loving yourself is enough...
there's this quote around the world 🌎...
that says... "love yourself first, please yourself first before anyone"...
well, you are right but not right...

because if you can really love but not yourself first...
you are to "love your neighbor as you love yourself"...(the book of mark 12:31) and (Matthew 22:37-39)...

in this Bible passages, God first urged us to love him...
then he urged us secondly to love our neighbors as ourselves....
then he added that this is the greatest commandments ever...

NOW WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF?

it means not hurting your neighbor...
not thinking bad about your neighbor...
helping your neighbor out when there's need...
not converting what belongs to your neighbor (exo 20:17)...
doing good to your neighbor... (Hebrews 13:16) and (Luke 6:30) says so...
NOW WHAT DOES LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR MEANS TO MARRIED COUPLES 😍....??

now listen....
two people come together to form a bond, start a family and build a future together...
both are coming from different homes, backgrounds and got different home trainings...

husbands... you won't expect your wife to know everything you like or do like your mother... you teach her(just as Christ teaches the church everyday)...
you grow with her... you don't say mean words to her or abuse her , or complain about anything she does...
you are not showing love if you beat her up like an animal...
you will hurt her...
and when she's hurt, YOU ARE NOT LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF...

NOW YOU UNDERSTAND RIGHT???

your wife is your neighbor... she will come with different baggage of problems, character, the way she talks or behaves with be different from yours...

THE SAME WAY YOU WOULDN'T BEAT YOURSELF UP OR SLAP YOURSELF TO STUPOR...
IS THE SAME WAY YOU SHOULDN'T TREAT YOUR WIFE BAD...
THAT IS WHY GOD COMMANDED YOU TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR (WIFE)AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF...

you know why again? because you guys are ONE FLESH IMMEDIATELY YOU GOT MARRIED TO HER...
IF SHE CRIES BECAUSE OF YOU, GOD WILL ASK YOU FOR HER TEARS...

that is why a man is supposed to be the head of the woman...
just as Christ is the head of the church...
being the head of the woman doesn't mean you have to control her...
it means you are her protection...
it means you are her head, and you need to protect her from the world 🌎...
just as Christ protects us from Satan...
(Ephesians 5:25) says so...

NOW OVER TO YOU WIVES...
DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR (YOUR HUSBAND)AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF?

coming together with him...
he is coming into the marriage will his own wahala...
his eating habit will be different from yours...
his bathing habits too... even his sleeping style...
the way he goes and comes back...
he might be one that used to hang out with the boys after work back when he was single...
men are grown up babies...
they will still think they are single and behave as such...
you don't nag him when he comes back...
you sit him down and talk to him about it in love...
that's how to respect him...
just as you wouldn't yell, or verbally abuse yourself, don't do it to that neighbor you are living with...(Ephesians 5:33)...

if he refuses to change...
report his to his creator...
the general overseer of marriage institutions...
the overall lover himself...
YES! I MEAN JESUS...

NOW WHO IS LOVE?...
JESUS IS LOVE...
(1st john4:16) says that God is love...
(John 4:24) says that God is spirit...

now if God is love and God is spirit...
it means that...
LOVE IS A SPIRIT...
(Genesis 1:27) says that God created man on his own image, after his own liking...
it means that man was created to be gods, and to talk like him, behave like him, resemble him,love unconditionally like him...(John 3:16)... God loved the world 🌎 unconditionally that he gave his one and only son to come and die...

what are we saying in essence???
if we are gods and love is spirit...
THEN WE ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE LIKE GOD ...

DEAR MEN ...
YOU DON'T REPRESENT GOD WHEN YOU BEAT UP YOUR WIVES...
YOU DON'T HAVE HIS IMAGE PROTECTED WHEN YOU BODYSHAME YOUR WIFE ALL THE TIME...
YOU DON'T HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD AND OF LOVE...
WHEN YOU VERBALLY ABUSE HER...

WHEN YOU TREAT THAT YOUR NEIGHBOR GOOD, SHE WILL NATURALLY SUBMIT AND RESPECT YOU...
REMEMBER, GOD TOLD YOU TO BE THE HEAD...
NOT TO BEAT HER HEAD...

DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW CHRIST LOVES THE CHURCH??...

WE CURSE HIM EVERYDAY, WE BLASPHEME AGAINST HIM, WE COMPLAIN ABOUT HIM ALL THE TIME, WE EVEN DO THINGS HE WARNED AND COMMANDED IS NOT TO ELSE WE DIE...
BUT NOT ONE DAY HAS HE SLAPPED US OR KILLED US...
WE LIE, WE KILL, WE COMMIT DIFFERENT KINDS OF SINS AGAINST HIM...
SOMETIMES WE REJECT HIM AS OUR GOD...
WE ONLY GO TO HIM WHEN WE HAVE NEED OF HIM... AND DITCH HIM WHEN HE'S FINISHED HELPING US...
BUT NOT A DAY HAS HE STOP LOVING US, OR HELPING US, OR HAVING MERCY ON US...
HE EVEN REACHES OUT TO US...

NOW HUSBANDS ....
THAT'S HOW GOD WANTS YOU TO LOVE YOUR WIFE JUST AS HE (CHRIST) LOVES THE CHURCH...
THAT'S HOW TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR 😄... (Ephesians 5:25_33)...
