The breeze is crisp
and I stay still,
as I sit here
in Naperville.

I’m on the river,
just the edge,
beside some trees
and thick,
green hedge.

Something quick
does catch my eye,
a little pale blue
dragonfly.

It stayed a bit,
then flew away.
I smiled—
what a perfect day.
