Tell The Sun
This summer is unpleasant,
sticky in this cardigan
which sheltered me in shadow.
The sun chased me in a sweat
and begged to remove a layer.
I dare say his persistence
became increasingly lecherous
as the rays went down my back.
I DO NOT WISH TO BE TOUCHED!
Peeling skin from off my face.
So when the chill came- what relief!
I could safely keep the lust at bay,
one-jumper deep at dusk once again.
