Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

The light entered in the dark room,
As the door opened to see if he is fine,
His teary eyes checked the figure who came,
When there was no one who cared if he's dead or alive.

She took slow steps inside while he crawled back,
Her hazel eyes met his dark ones,
She knelt down to his level and said,
'What's wrong, hun?

He cried more in pain and agony,
She calmed him saying that it'll be fine,
'Will you ever leave my side?' He asked
'Never' she replied.

Days went flying like a bird of paradise,
She took every pain away like an angel,
The broken heart again started beating,
And it beated for the eyes which were hazel.

He loved her like she was his life,
For she healed all the wounds,
He poured all his love into a wine glass,
But little did he know that the sun never met the moon,

He said he loves her from his whole heart,
But she smiled like a devil by the window,
The smile that made his heart race,
Shattered him badly to the core.

"You think you can be loved?" 
"Do you think I love your everything?" 
"You are too stupid to love me,
When I don't even feel a single thing." 

"I'm just an illusion you created for yourself,
Cuz there was no one to hear you."
"You never got the love you desired,
So you made me inside your head too."

"You'll never be loved by no one,"
"You are gonna shatter on the floor"
"No matter how much you chase me,
You are gonna die alone."

His darling vanished into thin air,
Laughing at his misery.
He screamed in denial,
But nothing was fixed.
