It never started smoothly
It just kept going rough and rough
He was mocked
He was dejected
They kept on making him feel like nothing
But he never stopped, he had faith
He had faith that one day, the tables will turn around
And he'll move from grass to grace

Those that had always stood by him began to leave
The ones who had always helped him left anyway
Little by little, they all vanished into thin air
But he didn't break down, he had faith
He had faith that nothing is permanent
And that one day, everything will be okay

He was all alone, but he never lost faith
He kept on fighting and fighting
He knew it wasn't going to be easy
But he never stopped, he had faith

And then one day, his hard work paid off
Or maybe because he had faith
Or maybe his faith made him stronger
Maybe nothing could stop him
Nothing could stop him from having faith

He wasn't entirely affluent
But yes, he was okay
Better, much more better than how he was before
He had faith that things would still get better

Those who mocked him now felt mocked
Of course not all of them
But his life had changed
Changed for the better
But his faith never changed, for he continued to have faith
