I remembered her every morning.
She lived in my heart throughout the day.
But when I told her that's how I felt,
She said, "I don't feel the same way."

I thought it was real,
I thought it was true.
Every day I would hope
That she felt the same too.

Not one night would pass,
Without her thoughts in my mind.
She seemed to be perfect,
So beautiful and so kind!

Every time I closed my eyes,
All I saw was her face.
She seemed to be so beautiful,
That nobody could replace.

And so I made up my mind.
"She's the one! I can't afford to lose."
It was time to tell her how I felt.
I was sure she wouldn't refuse.

"I remember you every morning."
"You live in my heart throughout the day."
When I told her that's how I felt,
She said, "I don't feel the same way."

Since then, my mornings would feel empty.
And my nights were darker than before.
I cried all night and during the day
I locked myself indoors.

I started to hate myself.
"Maybe there's something wrong with me."
I need to be better looking,
Or perhaps tall as a tree.

"I don't deserve love.", I cursed myself.
"I'm ugly, and I'm weak."
"She wants someone stronger."
"Someone with a better physique."

No wonder we're all depressed.
No wonder we're all sad.
But ask yourself this question,
"Am I really that bad?"

Someone you love might not love you.
Someone you hate might not hate.
How many people's perceptions of you
Have you assumed to date?

Nobody is perfect in this world.
Nobody has no flaws.
I idealized her in my head,
Ignoring who she really was.

Slowly I stopped thinking about her.
I kept myself busy throughout the day.
Then I asked myself, "How do you feel now?"
I said, "I don't feel the same way."
