Now I lay me down to sleep.
Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep,

And if I die before I wake,

I'll dream for those who solely shake,

Those who do not have the chance to dream,

Those who do not have anything.

I pray that if my death is had,

It's for some others, who won't be sad.

A selfless gift, that brings some joy.

Not just a thing, not just a toy,

Not just a number, not just some news,

Not just uncovered for some more views.

I pray that if, I have to go,

I leave something behind, you know?

But not myself, just what I brought,

I wish to vanish, from other's thoughts.

If I am taken, before night's end,

I wish for life to be my friend.

But if I'm not, upon my rise,

I'll rub the sleepy from my eyes.
