It adds up the points in my favour, am I right?
I made you the priority, for the first week of relationship,
I even pulled the chair out for you to sit.
I offered you my coat when you felt little chilly,
I said all things right and was a textbook good boyfriend, hope that doesn’t make me look silly.
It doesn’t take all that to make you my man,
when all that I needed was to hear me, god damn!
you cut in between my conversations when I was telling my stories,
I felt bad when you rejected my thoughts and my passions,
you were dismissive of my voice and opinions.
you kept me waiting for your replies,
now that I think of it, were all those gestures just a big lie?
You made up all those things to make me like you,
the romantic in my heart bought all things as absolutely true.
Roses, money or all those big gestures,
those are not at all a big deal,
these are the pointers which you find on some shitty website,
so most of you would come prepared to appear as gentleman and polite.
small gestures from your kind heart are all that we need,
telling me if something’s off, whenever you feel.
women are blamed to ask for attention,
when comforting in tough times is our only intention.

that just make things light and easy.
