she calculated her looks
her make up was fix
her hair untangled
her dress ironed
and then she turned to go
but she turned again
oh just one last check

she did this everytime she went somewhere
but this time while looking into the mirror
she thought
maybe if I stop contemplating
I'll start living
and she locked her eyes with herself
and without giving another
calculating look
she went away
