ODE TO ENGLISH
And hither I choose thy solemn arms,
To reckon for the remaining miles.
Let me savour thy bewitching charms,
And fete thee with mirthful smiles.
The world still dances all amuck,
To thy odes and rhymes.
From eons since yore 'tis not just luck,
But flairs thine reining times.
Shakespeare, Wordsworth and names more,
Big names draped in divine grace.
All doth praise thy beaut and lore,
And preach'd thy worth to the human race.
