Insomnia
When I'm with you, life feels bland, The world flips, hard to withstand. Though the night is calm and grand, Anxiety takes command.
I forget the best time for sleep, Into the next day, energy seeps. Though my body may lay down deep, My eyes a vigil keep.
Sleep swallowed by the night, In dim light, I find respite. Memories come into sight, Old grudges reignite.
I want to end the day with grace, Release problems I face. But the night is a harsh embrace, Weak heart in a difficult space.
Time shifts before I know, Forced to continue, though. With a smile that's hard to show, Consciousness fades slow.
