As I was leaving an old junk shop
the owner said " I've got something to ask
with all the wonderful things in here,
why buy an old wooden tribal mask"?

Most masks I find are tourists pieces
they are really easy to buy
but finding a rare exciting one
isn't easy no matter how hard I try.

Some are used for ceremonial purposes
others for a celebration or two
they can be used in the rites of passage
and even worn at the funeral of you.
