Beautiful
Pain is not beautiful,
Yes truly it ain't.
But those instances,
People cracking jokes through the hard times,
People greeting death with a smile,
A poetry of the heart broken,
the scars you wear ?
Are they beautiful or the fortitude they had ?
Because to me beautiful the hard times weren't, the hope was,
The death was not, the courage was,
The bleeding heart was not, but putting it into art was,
And maybe the moments of getting those scars weren't,
Striving and rising and healing was.
Of course pain is not beautiful.
You pulling through it sure is.
