The Death of Caitie
#WritcoPoemPrompt119
The long dim shadows,
Of surrounding trees,
The hooting sound of an owl,
With enchanting whispers of the breeze,
Tis my reminiscence of us,
Of a time when I called you friend.
Our days by the beach,
and the nights we spent crying and smoking trees.
I've carried hatred for you in my heart,
Angry at you for making me heal yours,
and then stomping all over mine.
I've written about your conniving personality embodied in characters,
just to catch the relief of taking your life.

You fvcked me,
Mentally.
But today I am letting you go.
Today I stand adjacent the long dim shadows,
Of surrounding trees,
the owl hoots,
the trees whispers,
and I forgive myself....

for hating you.
