The sweetest things
Of the earth
Build not
But tear down
First enticement
Then entanglement
Then ensnare
Then fragment!

The sweetest food
Is but junk
Pump in cholesterol
Soon plumping
Hypertension
Diabetes
Desiccated sinews
Stroke lightening strike!

The sweetest word
Gossip or lie
Words spoken with malice
Quite enticing, so enchanting
But disdain
Strip off honour, integrity
And murder

The sweetest water
Is but stolen
Sweeter than honey
In the end though
The sweetened cover dissolves
It gets bitter than hemlock.
Decimates to a morsel of bread.
