I Can’t Express
I can't express the existential joy,
which washes over my face
each time a little notification from you pops up.
I can’t express the refreshing feeling,
you bring to every hour of my day,
as we talk about things I could never have planned.
I can’t express how much I’ve enjoyed it,
talking to you, getting to know you,
truly one of the only welcome twists of the world.
But
I can’t express how badly I don’t want to fall,
how I dont want to become attached,
or hope for a end that never had a beginning.
I can’t express how scared I really am,
how hard I fight to not pull myself away,
I must not be ready, I must still be afraid.
And I can’t express how bad it feels,
to still be afraid.
