Im afraid of monsters
Not from under the bed
Not from the darkness of the closet
But down the street
On TV
In power
Making decisions about my life
These monsters are real
They are a true threat
A threat to my life
A threat to my liberties
A threat to my happiness
I can’t wake up from this nightmare
The monsters are real
They are ripping me apart
Tearing my sanity to pieces
I can’t wish them away
I can’t just turn on the light
These monsters haunt my every waking moment
When will they come for me….. ?
