Effort, worthless heart hardened to stone. Thought you might want to talk so I dialed the phone.

I offered to help with whatever the chore,
imagined your smile when you opened the door.

Your feelings unclear, my feelings strong, I felt like maybe we could.... but I was certainly wrong.

Forever angry, more sorrow ahead, painfull words were exchanged that we both now regret.

sometimes it seems we know what we feel, but one call confirmed my assumptions unreal.

Fanticies vanished of making love through the night, now extinguished by words in the heat of our fight.

Time will pass quickly past memories will last, we will think back and regret how it all happened so fast.
