Wish We Never Met
It was a born to meet,
Never a walk to greet.
Some say the story is neat,
But it turns my feet to concrete
As if I were glued to an imaginary seat.
It was a born to fit,
Never a place to sit.
Strangers might stay a bit,
But every second is a hit to the pit
Of a woven memory kit.
Sad to know a granted wish,
Would be to know instead a fish.
Hard to say wish we never met ,
But in your heart there is a net
Your mind has set
With no regret.
You owe me no debt,
But forever I will win to bet
Not a thought has owned the past yet.
A hate so fair,
A love none can bare.
One I am aware,
One I can’t declare.
I cannot compare
Because again I care,
But always you run as if a dare.
Wish we never met,
For the feelings are more than a threat
That makes me fret
And break a sweat.
Wish your silhouette was not a face,
For it’s a picture I cannot embrace.
You are my loving hate,
And I, the open gate.
Never a walk to greet.
Some say the story is neat,
But it turns my feet to concrete
As if I were glued to an imaginary seat.
It was a born to fit,
Never a place to sit.
Strangers might stay a bit,
But every second is a hit to the pit
Of a woven memory kit.
Sad to know a granted wish,
Would be to know instead a fish.
Hard to say wish we never met ,
But in your heart there is a net

Not a thought has owned the past yet.
