A Good Girl.
"Be obedient, good girls are obedient ",her mother taught her.
"Be quiet good girls are quiet ", the society taught her.
She was ten,
She was curious,
Curious to know about the thing wrapped in the newspaper,
"What's that mommy?", she asks her
"Keep quiet, you will know when you grow older.
Good girls don't question much".
She was twelve,
She was not feeling well,
But her mother taught her to be a topper,
She goes to school,
She finds blood all over,
A red skirt, her classmates mock her. "Am I going to die?", she asks herself.
She goes back home, informs her mother,
She tells her, its natural it happens to all girls,
"Mommy but why?"
"You should not question, you are too small".
She turns fifteen,
She learns about reproduction,
Her mind is filled with questions.
But she is scared, scared to ask her mother,
Because good girls dont question much.
There's a boy in her class,
He is sweet, she likes him.
But she is scared, because her mother taught her,
Good girls don't fall in love.
She is twenty three,
She is married,
She is definitely a good girl,
She never questions her husband,
She is an obedient wife.
It has been a year,
Now she has to prove her goodness to the society,
She gives birth to a baby boy,
"I am proud of you, you have been a good girl ", says her mother.
"How mommy? Just by uniting X and Y?" She wanted to question but is scared,
Because good girls dont question much.
