The Lonely Angel.
There was a lonely Angel
She didn't have a name.
She didn't even have her wings
But was important, just the same.
Her task it was to make the clouds
The best that they could be.
And place them in all kinds of sky
For all mankind to see.
Some older Angels laughed at her
They even called her names.
Yet she took pride in every cloud
From white, to dark with rain.
One day she lay, her task complete
Upon her favourite cloud
Watching mankind come and go
Then she focused on a crowd.
In the middle of this crush
She saw a man, alone.
Staring up into the sky
As if he'd turned to stone.
As she looked deep into his eyes
She saw there such despair.
This caused an ache within her heart
When she saw that no one cared.
The man then turned and walked away
She followed him...
She didn't have a name.
She didn't even have her wings
But was important, just the same.
Her task it was to make the clouds
The best that they could be.
And place them in all kinds of sky
For all mankind to see.
Some older Angels laughed at her
They even called her names.
Yet she took pride in every cloud
From white, to dark with rain.
One day she lay, her task complete
Upon her favourite cloud
Watching mankind come and go
