We're not living in opulence
To afford cost of every mistake
At a time of extreme caution
Missed in every decision

At the cost of huge lives
Lost in from small households
To people lying on the floor
Waiting to be attended to

Playgrounds turned into graveyards
For lack of space in cemetery
To accommodate all the dying people
That grew in numbers everyday

If that wasn't enough
The earth for once looked barren
Like nothing exists in our planet
All because of a virus called COVID19

An aeroplane in the sky
Looked very uncommon
Empty streets and empty oceans
Was something very special

What started as something not serious
A warning from one doctor
Went unheeded
Started as a series of debate

With no immediate relief in sight
No vaccines available in the labs
Took the lives for weeks and day
With every increasing figures everyday

If anything went well
We saw more and more people getting ill
Lock downs went from people to zoos
Nothing so dear as wearing a mask

With nothing to do
People took to online
Everything happened on Zoom
A year making history
