I hold feelings I can't replace,
A love that burns, but can't ignite,
For someone who won't see the light.

I long to hold them close each day,
To feel their touch in every way,
But they see me as just a friend,
And my heartache seems to have no end.

I try to hide what I can't show,
To bury these feelings down below,
But they persist, they won't subside,
No matter how much I try to hide.

I wish I could just let it go,
To find a love that can truly grow,
But this person has me in their grip,
And from their hold, I cannot slip.

So I'll stay trapped within this spell,
