My Christmas Tree and Pine Cone!
A tiny being,
So innocent and pure,
Understanding everything,
Your chief allure.

You know already,
The good and bad,
Observing eyes,
At times, very sad.

But my dear,
Know this in your bones,
You are like the remarkable,
Sturdy little pine cone!

With the ability to withstand,
The harshest of conditions,
Closed scales, as walls,
Relying on your intuition.

All the while,
Preserving the life within,
We are in so many ways,
Kindred spirits and akin.

Decorated and celebrated,
The outward appearance,
The true nature being,
Honest perseverance.

A seasonal splurge,
But full of meaning,
To steadily grow,
You'll always need pruning.

Lavish and magnificent,
The ocassional Christmas tree,
Stay true to yourself, year-long,
My sincere plea.

By your honest mettle,
Each day you will shine,
For you my dear,
Are the evergreen pine!
