When I was thirteen I was in a fatal accident
it changed my life forever
I lost a friend which made life tough to endure
My recovery made it worse
I missed the funeral
and I was too young to curse
I lay in the hospital for a couple months
but luckily during that time when I came out of the coma
I clinged to 2 nurses who I shall never forget
I was treated like gold by all the nurses whom I will never forget
my point is the care was amazing
I thought I was part of their family
And that's how I felt
Every morning when I saw my nurse I would just melt
my injuries were bad
I was on breathing assistance for 2 weeks
I really thought I was gonna die
however, there was no way they would let that come true
I felt connected to them and I couldn't let them down.
As one nurse would say you have faith or you can get,
get out of town
I always smiled because she was so positive and more important. So beautiful
To me they were my angels just prettier and funnier
When I felt down
they picked me up
when I was in pain
they held my hand
When I couldn't speak they spoke for me
Cause they knew me so well
IT WAS LIKE I REMINDED THEM OF THEIR YOUNGER BROTHER or relative
Someone that they loved
I will always be in debt to them
As long as I live
It was the best experience in my life in a difficult situation health wise for me
I will never forget when I was on a ventilating breathing machine
and I couldn't really communicate at all
I was so scared and so alone at least I thought
But I couldn't have been more wrong
These angelic nurses I mean the whole floor
Would always check on me
When they were off duty they would
even check on me
In the early going I didn't know what was going on
Cause I was still in critical condition
I just knew and always remembered their faces
I still couldn't speak due to the ventilator still down my throat keeping me alive
I believed these angels were also keeping me alive with their love
So eventually I got better
And yes girls this is my letter
My letter of gratitude to you all
You girls took care of me when I was
fighting for my life
You took care of me every day what more can I say
You took care of me when I was down
You took care of me when I felt alone
You took care of me and held my hand
You took care of me when I couldn't walk
You took care of me when I couldn't talk
You took care of me when I thought I was going insane
You were always there to make me smile
You were always there no matter what the issue
Now I'm crying and yes you handed me a tissue
You were always there
I know these words
can't be enough
But you all succeeded because
you made me
You made me tough
So years later I saw
the 2 nurses and yes
They were more beautiful than before
They asked me what are doing these days if we dare
I said I work....
I work in Healthcare
I take care of people that can't take care of themselves
So im basically doing now what you girls did for me
You helped me
You helped me Live
