Step and step I take,
A ladder on the land.
How far have I made,
Before I fall in the end.

One step, two step I count,
Before I fall to the ground.
Felt I weigh thousand pounds,
Wish I could just bounce.

Steps and steps I cross,
Thinking about the loss.
That causes me to fall,
On feet of concrete wall.

Steps and steps I make,
Before the night ends.
The dawn waits for me,
Feels like never end.
