Listened or listener? The play I
there are those who are made to listen
and who are meant to tell
the problem starts when the listener
wants to be listened to
with great stories to tell
and emotions to share
they leave the spot
and try to make another their own
behind the scenes, they are prepared
with their heart in their hands
ready to face the pain
that might come with the scars
that their play will leave
If they will play, who will lead?
the conductor of the orchestra has never been so inexperienced
the violin strings break
as the show does the same
the sheet music seems to be in another language
they curse everything in their way
as they leave the stage
breaking promises and taking wrong choices
Words were wearing other meanings
apart of how they sounded
the cascade crashes immediately
as the spotlight fades
and at the after party
they used their best apologies gown
because their warmest sweater
seemed to be colder than ever
