Our love story became a memory,
Forever trapped in yesterday.
Everything we shared remains instilled in the past,
In the silence, I hear the whispers of what we used to be,
It is quiet and the walls echo the promises we once made.
The emptiness still lingers on.
The promises you whispered into my ears keeps me awake at night.
You took me on a first date,
I found myself in church,
It was surely a first date and more.
Trekking not because we had no money but we bought time for ourselves.
If there is one thing I am forever grateful for,
It's you drawing me closer to things of God.
We met in school and also in the four corners in the foundation of Salvation and Christ.
Of a true, it was worth while, it was worth the sacrifice
But I believe "if God has promised, He will do it"
