Take it all..
Take it all..

A prosepoem by:
Hikmet Elhadj

Take what you want from me
 In this evening of agony
 whatever you want..
 Take clothesline and below
 Take the bar of soap,
 boiled water and the cups
 and a pint of drink
 By the same
 date of manufacture
 color shades
 vine and deltoid
Take the depths of the trap
Take the mirrors of the place
Reflections of those who have gone through it
 and the laughter of lovers
 Take notebooks and books
 and hanging boards
And the colors of loss and fatigue
 The lust for the pastel
 and turpentine
 take the grapes
 take the fridge
 and the fridge
 Gujarat tea
 and the taste of cardamom
 and evening herbs
 and shade plants
and a can of black pepper
 And the Iraqi spice
 and glasses
 And dye the shoes
 and the vase
 And Civilizations Manual
 supplier dictionary
 And Sahih Al-Gohari
Take the night, it won't work
Take away everything that is useless
Take the house out of its house
Take it all with its inhabitants
 From loved ones and companions
 in small details
 from the door
 Until the ceremony of torment
 to the curtain of anxiety
 take the twilight
 It is of no use
Like an eye in the fog
 like a blind lover
 like my song
 Take my song
 Its ryms and words
Its rhythms and the beating of its drums
Like a dance in the den of wolves
 take up spaces
From the top of the windows towards the garden
 to the container store
 to the door
Take everything you want from me
And let the conversations of passersby be
 From the days of youth
Take everything you want from me
 In this evening of agony
 and leave me
 My coffee and book.
