In my mind, body and soul, a demon did reside,
Chains of addiction, I could not hide.
But with courage and strength, I faced my fears,
Breaking free from the darkness, wiping away my tears.

Awe filled my heart as I soared above,
No longer a prisoner to my inner demon's love.
Reflecting on the journey, I see the light,
Shining brightly, guiding me through the night.

Short-lived was the struggle, but long-lasting the change,
A new chapter unfolding, a life rearranged.
In awe of my own power, I stand tall and strong,
Breaking the chains of addiction, where I once did belong.
