too much or just enough
i took it all on like a child eats candy until their stomach turns
i will do everything, said ego
well, it’s a bit of a lot but no surprise
careful now as you balance on the lip
lest you slip down sooner than expected on it’s smooth rolling dip
then you would fall fast and hard, bone breakingly so
and you would be groping in the deep dank dark
the sky would shrink to a pinpoint far away
and you would cry on your palms...
