Ever Fading
The memory of you is slipping from my mind.
The look of your eyes, shining like stars,
Dimmed by the blaring light of a lonesome tomorrow.
Your lips, oh your lips, soft and supple,
Sweet like honey on my tongue.
Your touch, which once brought me to life,
Now nothing more than a shadow on my skin.
This distance pulls and stretches our love,
Wearing down and tearing apart,
Till all that's left are fragments of what once was.
As the memory of you slips from my fingers,
All I can do is bite my lip and say...
good-bye.
