When you love something,
you protect it,

However, there are so many ways to kill what you love without stabbing it through the heart,

The world is evil and wicked,
humans have absorbed that energy,
stored it deep within their soul and it has grown into a mortifying beast they're yet to acknowledge,

Friends and family would betray you by choice or circumstance,
Blood and time,
Loyalty and life,
doesn't make betrayal exempted from whom you expect more from.

I just wish to sleep and forget,
like ice that keeps all things cold,
wash away all emotions left and embrace the true nature of all that's left,

Faith necessitates hope,
hope blinds us from the truth,
it should all end,
Peace is all I've ever asked for.
