Shattered Dreams
Everything seems so black.
The things I built with colors and flowers
are slowly fading away; I don’t know what to do.
Everything I cherished now feels meaningless.
I’m lost in the echoes of where it all went wrong.
I trusted you, I loved you;
you were my entire world.
But now it feels like
you’ve become just another dream—
one I know will never be real.
In this moment, I thank God
for taking away the one thing
I truly desired.
I don’t know when He will understand me,
when I will stop being
a pawn in someone else’s wishes,
a life lived for others,
while mine slips away unnoticed.
