Love's an Enigma
Do I fathom love, a force unseen?
Or am I undeserving of affection's grace?
In shadows lost, I wander, self-contained,
Confounded by love's enigmatic embrace.
Does love reside in hearts, or merely in air?
A hazy ambiguity, eluding my grasp,
For some, it blossoms, while others despair,
This paradox, an emotion that can both mend and rasp.
Does love choose from the chosen few,
While casting all others into depths unknown?
Or are we but victims, caught in love's purview,
A cyclone of emotions set to dethrone?
Oh, love, you remain a mystery profound,
With power to heal, to hurt, to ignite,
With fragile hearts, we cascade underground,
Caught between the shadows and the light.
So, do I fathom love, this grand design?
Or do I not deserve love's tender care?
In questions lost, the answer I may find,
For love, with all its complexities, is everywhere.
