I wrote a poem on you many years ago
It's hand written,
somewhere inside an old sketch book
I will search the shelves to find those words again
They were written not so long after your death
but they will be there
they will have survived
But you said that you'd never die
Believing as a genius you were immortal
Your ego so big and your mind so full
and crazy
You were Surreal and larger than life
just like your paintings
Maybe you meant that you would still live on with your art and your memories
They are still there
They have survived
