MOTIFS OF MOTIVES
A gbo ejo enikan daré,( anyone who listens to a side of a story)
Agba osika,(Such person is wicked)
Twisting the veins and arteries of justice,
To bring slides out of the sides of a story.
Ka rin ka po,( walking in groups)
Ko ye enikeni,( does not befit anyone)
One is a company,
Three gets lost in the crowd,
Like a needle in a haystack.
I'm a loner,
That keeps company of the lonely,
Willing to blow off steam of dreams,
With karaoke therapy.
They are standing on the fence,
As the odds stack up against them,
All is unfair in love and fair in war,
What is good for the goose seems worse for the gander.
No credit today, come tomorrow,
Hoisting red flags for fine baras,(beggars)
And green lights for Barabbas.
We aim for mountains and hills,
While trudging through the vale of tears,
That whirls our faith into fears,
And fears into faith.
