ROLLASON ROAD DREAMS
Under the smile of a warm sun
Floating in a blue ocean above
On lemon and lime grass we run
Never tired or had enough

Sweat trickles from a young brow
Chasing a roughed leather ball
Living the moment here and now
Innocence hid from all cruel

Streets of pure joy and laughter
Sunset dreams too dry for tears
Happy childhood and ever after
When with friends I held no fear

Trips to the local chip shop
Smelling immense in summer breeze
Can I have small chips and cod
Lots of salt and vinegar please

On the green beside my mums house
We sat talking just like young kids
In the summer we could stay out
I miss the days us kids lived
