sometimes its crazy
how life turns around.
see this life i live
easily turns upside down

one state to another
a few months at a time
this job i find a brother
the next i lose another

this next trip around the sun
may be completely diferent
than how this one
had begun.

the end of this year
i will welcome another bud
to my garden of roses.

more diapers to buy,
more diapers to stock,
more weight on my shoulders,
than ive already got.

im fine with all that,
im welcoming in the fact,
that ill get to sing again,
and find a happiness in christmas.

thanksgiving ill be thankful
halloween will have candy
ill hide baskets for easter,
and rake leaves in the fall.

i may take up fishing,
caring less to wet the line,
but focusing more on the little voice beside me
and the quality of the time.

i may throw away this cellphone
i may find one place to call home.
it will no longer flow with the wind
i think now, i can be happy again.
