Permaculture mkII
I was on a permaculture design course recently and wrote this as a way to untangle the many branches in my mind contributing to the final design project.
We turn desert to fertile,
red golden to black portals to green
Alchemy, stars, planets, seeds,
coincide
dust to spirals and life cycles,
bridges full circle to loops.
Sweet potato, beets, lentil
Codified complimentary combinations that sound a wee bit mental
To the average Joe, accidental
To be coming up between
Dandelion weed
here take heed,
Mr Bloggs,
We're growing mycellium
out of dead logs.
Progressing toward,
closing the loops,
diluting barriers
we grow soil, back n forth
invite the energy flows
it's never set in stone,
still an aspect,
broken down minerals,
a source of nutrition.
Nitrogen fixing beans
Rocket, mustard greens coming up rich earthy
spicey green healthy,
Microorganisms holding it down, dirty clean aligned and wealthy
Close to the surface Onions, lettuce, chickpeas
Beneath the beets
Rooted deep yams
Keeping the peace
Reminding, I am
As above so below
A cluster of trees
But here's a trick,
2 triangles interlacing
points of six,
The Star of king David
follow the mathematics
I'd like syntropic to be the word in everybody's reality
Coz we got a tasty mix,
Walnut canopy, avo, cherry
right beneath,
again imagine,
Guava sweet, Peach facing south east
Chop n drop, poplar forming a circle of 360 degrees,
false pepper too, it's sacrifices feeding the soil, feeding the roots,
and on the ground melon and squash,
lettuce, cilantro, chervil, left to groove
The compliments are the the sum of its parts
A cycle, no plant obsolete,
But together more complete.
No chemical additives or labels,
Rooted life, mysterious yet,
Strong,
Diverse and stable,
No struggle and more on the table.
Mystery invited in, patience is progress
Bringing It back, home.
Keepin it ital in the kitchen.
