remembering him in the midst of darkness
when the moments played in my mind
his voice echoed in my memories
of that day when I felt I had a life

caught in the moment
where I was lost in the clouds of emotions
taking a deep breath of cold air
that filled my lungs slowly

I sat there still in warm light
flickering candle by my side
only glow that burnt slow
in the darkness of the night that grow.
