Dancing
#WritcoPoemPrompt35
By the flickering light of an ancient lamp,
By the twinkling waters of an ancient river,
The dancer entertains the heathen enemies.
This fascinating history forever etched in stone,
Is a monumental discoveiry, which was not supposed to be known. This enemy smiled and continued to dance seeing the dangers waiting to advance. He looked around as if Reading my mind; to see the fear and dread flooding my face. He instantly stopped dancing, waved his hand across the audience; as if he was casting a spell, in an instant all of the enemies he was dancing for disappeared. He looked back at me on his way out, smiled and waved and left with a shout.
