Wild Woman
The wild woman of the woods observes
As I fumble along the forest floor
Groping for coniferous curves

Under a myriad of moons, I slept on beds of rotting roses
Foraged for fatal fungus
Until all that grew under my feet decomposed

I sought a path undiscovered, but soon uncovered
I lost more than my sight
On old growth's grip, where shadows smothered

Discerning dryad, ever wise
Never uttered a sound, nor led me by hand
Still, her aurora illuminated the skies

A once incandescent intuition relit with nurture
Cast a light on the trials and the tracks
Reveal my true nature
